About

Sandy Dunham has lived a life reflective of her talents and passions.  Her desire to "never be ordinary" shows in all she does, most visibly her photography.  She strives to make each photo memorable, whether for a client or for her personal enjoyment.

Sandy's photography interests began in the 1980's when she mastered the use of her all-manual Vivitar 35 mm camera.   Often times, her subjects were her children and family members. Even then, she made sure her photography caught the attention of others by entering local and national competitions.  Her greatest achievement, in those early days, was winning a first place in a natonal photo competition sponsored by a recognized name brand company.

Sandy is an educator by degree, former teacher, and the 1986 founder of a national, elementary student, motivation program known as The ABBIT Society.  Her program has been used in more than 1000 elementary schools across the United States and is still in use to this day.

Recently, Sandy has decided to retire from competitive barrel racing and  spend more time pursuing her interests in freelance photography and bay fishing with her husband, Mark.   Armed with artistic vision and her Nikon D750,  Sandy is always looking for her next photo.

Sandy is a contributing photographer for Texas Parks and Wildlife Magazine,  a member of the Texas Photographic Society and has had training under Peter Poulides, accomplished photographer and owner of the Dallas Center for Photography.
